Yup. It looks like about 2/3's to 3/4's of our smilies are red x's or not even that much! (I use the drop box from the Use Smilies (?) ).
Thus my eloquence, becks, with regards to our dashing Crusader on the Fluffy White....

I couldn't find any mention of this so I don't know if anyone else is experiencing the same thing. The Insert Image, Insert Smilies and Insert Flash
Buttons haven't been working for me for a few weeks now. I've tried them on three different computers with the same results (or lack thereof). Is
there a setting that I should look for?

That's a good question.
The only other times I know of that anyone has had trouble with any of those, it was cured by updating their java, etc. But if you've tried it on more than one computer, that can't be it. Let us look around a bit more and see what we can come up with.

The first thing, the obvious thing, is to make sure that you have "wysiwyg editor" checked in your preferences, and didn't check bbcode, for
instance, by accident at some time. I believe you must be using the wysisyg editor to use those buttons.

Thanks for the response. Ironically, I updated to Explorer 8 on all three around the same time so I think it may have had something to do with that since I
hadn't touched my yuku settings. Then again, it could all be a big coincidence

Aha, I expect that's what did it. If you did your research on IE 8, you already know other people have had issues with it. Hopefully, MS will come out
with another patch that will take care of your problem.

and another question - is it possible to remove a pic that's been uploaded to my avatars? i have duplicates of one of them, and i'd like to get rid of
one of the two. it doesn't appear to be as simple as clicking on it and deleting it. tried that - no luck.

becks...go to your profile page and click on the Navigation button ( top of page on the right). You should see an Image Mangement link and when clicking on
that it will take you to a page with your image folders on it , one of them being avatars. You can delete images from within any of those albums/folders.
I don't know why you're seeing ads. I don't see any either in my profile or in yours. We have 54,000 ad-free page views. I'll look into it Saturday, if I'm able. Off to have a root canal tomorrow. JellyD

thanks, jd. i got rid of the duplicate pix i didn't want.
i'm definitely getting an ad in everyone's page. very annoying. could it be that since i'm using someone else's computer, yuku doesn't recognize me as a subscriber? that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, because the ads only showed up a few days ago, and i've been using this one since january. but maybe the problem will fix itself once i get my own computer back up and running, which i hope will be within a week or so. becks edited to add - ack! good luck with the rc (no, not that one...). hope it goes smoothly.

 , i wonder if perhaps i'm getting an ad in everyone's page because my one-year yuku supporter subscription expired in
mid-july? even though i'm part of this community, maybe they don't acknowledge that. i can make another contribution if that's what's needed,
but i think i mildly resent being singled out like this!
