So is Russell back home.
In Australia this month on a huge tour that also includes New Zealand, Billy used his love of sports to help Russell Crowe. At dinner with Crowe and his rugby team The Rabbitohs, Billy wound up giving them an inspirational speech about winning that would make even Casey Stengel proud.

Per PEOPLE magazine (Sept. 5 issue).....
Harry Connick Jr. is going to have a new daytime entertainment show premiering Sept. 12 on NBC (which my schizoid cable box currently is refusing to give me ). And one of his guests?
"I sat down with Russell Crowe for a piece we taped for the show--I love Russell Crowe. I mean, he's Gladiator, man! And I got a chance to talk to him. That's just so incredible to me."
Glad to see Russell can still excite someone...besides us, of course...

Multi-hyphenate performer Harry Connick Jr. enters the daytime arena Sept. 12 with the premiere of “Harry” (4 p.m. on WNYW/Ch. 5).
Just don’t call it a talk show.
“I don’t really call it anything,” says Connick, 48. “I know people want to call it something, so I think an ‘entertainment show’ is probably best. It’s tough to describe.

Russell Crowe will host the 30th annual American Cinematheque Award Tribute to Ridley Scott on October 14 at the Beverly Hilton. Crowe won the Best Actor Oscar for Scott’s 2000 Best Picture winner Gladiator, and the pair have also collaborated on American Gangster and A Good Year as well as Crowe productions Robin Hood and Body of Lies, to name a few. Matt Damon will make the presentation to Scott, and other in-person tributes include Noomi Rapace, Katherine Waterston, Sigourney Weaver and Kristen Wiig.
The same evening the Cinematheque will present its second annual Sid Grauman Award to Sue Kroll, President of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution for Warner Bros. Pictures. Bradley Cooper will present that award to Kroll prior to the Scott tribute.

I don't think she'll get far since it was Russell who called hotel security and they ejected her, and the very guy who brought her, RZA, is saying it wasn't Russell but Banks who was the troublemaker and wrongdoer.
Unfortunately, I'm sure there will still be some naysayers who will say 'bad guy Crowe's at it again'.

After filing a police report claiming Russell Crowe
assaulted her and kicked her out of his hotel room during an intimate
dinner party on Saturday night, the 25-year-old rapper’s story is coming
under fire as a source close to the situation maintains Banks
threatened Crowe and had to be escorted out.
According to accounts, Banks was among 10 guests joining Crowe, 52,
for a laid-back evening of dinner and music at a private gathering in
the Beverly Hills Hotel Saturday evening. She was brought to the party
as rapper and director RZA’s plus-one — where she claims she was “spat
on, choked, thrown out of a room, and called a ‘n—–.’ ”
But a source close to the situation told PEOPLE Crowe never called
the “212” rapper the N-word. The insider claims that word came from
Banks’ mouth during an argument over music Crowe was playing — and that
all 10 witnesses present there at that time of the incident, including
RZA, have provided statements to authorities collaborating that claim.
“Per all of the witnesses, her erratic behavior and abusive language
scared everyone there,” the source said. “No one called her the N-word.
She was yelling the N-word at everyone else.”
Banks said she would have not filed a police report against Crowe had he simply apologized for the alleged Sunday morning assault. But a source close to the situation said the Nice Guys actor “has absolutely nothing to apologize for.”
“Banks’ story has changed dramatically since Sunday,” the insider
continued. “On Sunday, her only contention was that Russell called her
the N-word. He did not call her that. She demanded an apology and
threatened to go to the police until she got one. She didn’t get an
apology because she wasn’t deserving of one. Her story has grown and
become more involved with each passing day.”
