Yes Wendy, it's supposed to be the Regis and Kelly Show. You're right, the Letterman Show will be on Friday. Teehee!
The Crowe fandom must've
gone up through the roof, so it's understandable that simple mistakes could happen.

Daily Dose of Sexiness! Russell Crowe cut his hair! April 14th, 2009 by Rosy
Sexy Gladiator actor Russell Crowe has finally cut his hair and gotten back into gorgeous form to promote his new film, State of Play. He was on the Today Show this morning chatting about his role as Cal McAffrey, working with Ben Affleck, why he grew his hair out and gained weight, what helps him between film roles, and his upcoming role as Robin Hood. I'm watching last night's Jeopardy and one of the categories is"Movies Any Time". The $400 answer was "Glenn Ford played Ben Wade in
this movie, Russell Crowe took over the part 50 years later..." Hmmm, wonder what movie that was!

Oh so he mustve been going to Regis in those pics, not Letterman. Wonder if these shows shoot in the same building. I'd guess he was cold and thats why he
had the hood on.To him its still winter here.lol
Kelly R is liking him me thinks Good pic, Rusty. But the 'Russell is back' stuff is sort of funny and sort of stupid, like hes been in a cave for 3 years. In these white sweatshirt pics its like he was just standin there sort of chillin' then the papz got him. Hopefully fans and regular folk got some pics, not just pap crap. Weird that there are no premieres. And if there was one in ny I wouldve been tempted to go, and if he was doing Conan, but he isnt...and I have a relative who is in NY all the time for work, said I could stay with her if/when I'm there. I liked NYC, ['06 ]. A big thank you to Mara, Rusty and everyone for the pics and news.

Wendy, glad you like. i think what they meant that Russell is back, that he is back to looking like Russell and not Hoffman or Cal . he has his weight and
looks back to the way we all fell in love with him. alias Maximus.

Hmm, y'all lost me there but for clarity, he's going to tape the Letterman show in the red hoodie pics. He taped it on Monday I believe and it shows
tonight. Dave's site has a snippet up - very cute story about Charlie.

Nice interview at Parade on-line:
http://www.parade.com/celebrity/celebrity-parade/archive/russell-crowe-state-of-play.html?nwl=090415 ![]()
Russell Crowe has had his share of headline-grabbing confrontations with pesky reporters. Now he's playing one in State of Play.
In the film, Crowe is a crusading journalist who just can't deal with how those gossipy blogs that are taking readers away from newspapers. Suddenly, he's faced with a dilemma: How far will he go to get the real story about a famous politician who also happens to be his good friend? The Internet? Don't get him started. "It has gone too far and I don't think we'll ever be able to pull it back. We're in a culture now where people accept trivia as news, but it's been driven by traditional news sources. If serious journalism has been undermined, journalists only have themselves to blame." Daring to buddy up with reporters. "Some of them really are my friends. No doubt, at certain points they are probably faced with the opportunity to make a lot of money if they decide to tell tales out of school about me. But, luckily, those friendships are solid and real. If they ever have taken advantage, it hasn't been obvious to me." Photos: The tabloids' favorite stars Becoming a mellow man. "I think any negativity stems from struggling with feelings of self-worth. I don't consider myself to be worthy of a frenzy of media attention, so when people sort of come at you, sometimes your reaction is to get angry. But I'm way past that sort of stuff now. I'm a lot calmer with it." Taking charge of the merry men in Robin Hood. "I've probably dreamt about being Robin Hood since I was about five years old. Now I'm getting my chance in this film directed by Ridley Scott. It's as if I'm going to climb Mount Everest. I'm just going to take it one ridge at a time. I think the story -- this myth, this legend - is a great privilege to get to do. After all, it's the longest surviving fictional tale in the English language." C'mon, what's really important? "I think the vast majority of people would choose family first. I realize what a responsibility it is to be a parent. In this modern world, we expect so much from a father, yet the definition is still somebody who works all week to put the food on the table. Somehow, you have to be able to do that work, bring home the money and still make yourself available to your kids." Check out our photos of celebrity dads It's worth it. "Having two little boys just makes me feel very, very blessed. It was the right time for me to become a dad, I needed it. There's a sort of higher level of perception that comes with being a parent that gives you a different viewpoint on things. I'm two or three steps back from where I used to be." Keeping in touch. "I was 'Skyping' the other night, where you can talk over the computer and you can actually see each other. I have my computer hooked up to a camera in the kids' playroom. So every now and then I can sort of just burst into the playroom. When they seem happy to see me, even if I'm thousands of miles away, it's pretty special." JEANNE WOLF'S BEHIND-THE-SCREEN BUZZ Russell Crowe fills the bill as a scruffy, much admired reporter who has spent too much time indulging his passion for junk food. But being a bit paunchy doesn't detract from the power Crowe brings to the role. So would you have preferred a leading man with a perfect profile and a six pack to die for? Believe it or not, Brad Pitt was originally set to star, and I'm sure he wouldn't have packed on any pounds for the role. Literally weeks before shooting, Pitt backed out of the thriller directed by Kevin MacDonald (Last King of Scotland). MacDonald told The Guardian, "I was on the brink of a fiasco with a huge set and crew and no star." Not to worry, McDonald headed down under to recruit Crowe. "I ended up having lunch first with his parents and then I met Russell and convinced him to take the role." Hey, not that I don't love and admire Brad but I think Kevin got lucky. For the record the long hair and poundage was gone when the handsome suit-and-tied Crowe talked to me about State of Play. ![]()

While on Letterman's show last night Russell spoke about a company that wants to do strip mining for Boxite in Steve Irwins Preserve up in Queensland. It
would destroy a portion of the eco system in the wetlands and there is a petition to prevent this from happening. JoA just emailed me a link to sign on if you
want to support their fight to save the wetlands.

"There was no retouching done," said Katie Martin Kelley, a publicity executive with Paramount..........fer shure.......gotta bridge somewhere up your sleeve you wanna offload, too, sweetie? 29 yrs old? IMHO, Russell's comment about advancing age and taking off weight says a lot!!! We can all relate to that little bit of reality!! "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream, Discover." ~Mark Twain~ |
