Ok, something weird......I posted in the News thread, it shows in the thread list that I;m the last one that posted; when I was posting, it showed other posts other than mara's under the compose box, but now I can't see anything past mara's.........

this was happening for me yesterday but not so far today.
I could see that Bea had made a post but could not read it for about 10 hours. |

Now that a lot of the old (before the hack) threads are back we have 2 and in some cases 3 threads that are the same subject.
Some of the older threads only have the first post remaining and some have all posts. Is there a way to merge the original thread with the new one or vice versa? As well as being confusing...which thread do you post to and remembering which thread had the discussion or picture you were interested in....it means some posts will end up not a part of the active thread. JD & d: Yeah, let's hang out for the final, "That's it! We can't do anymore!" post from ezB and then we can do the final clean up. It'll be a matter of reposting posts, which can be done by the original poster once we've decided with thread we're going to remove.

I'm in the process of re-posting the info that was lost on the the Parson's Ridge Compendium. I've started a new compendium and in order to avoid confusion, could you delete the original compendium thread? It's the one with 7 pages and I've edited the first post to indicate that's the one that has to go. Thanks! I have a complaint and I'm not really sure where to put it, so I guess this thread is the answer.
My complaint is twofold: 1. I am upset that someone moved a thread I started to a forum that I believe could make the thread less effective. 2. I don't agree with having a political forum on this board. To be frank, I'm a bothered by the fact that a new forum "Politics and Current Events" was created and the thread I started in "In The Interest Of Other Things" ("Hurricane Katrina Relief") was moved there. I just don't think that a thread with links to websites for donations to the victims of Katrina belongs in a political environment. I actually agree with many of the sentiments being stated in the political forum right now, but I also feel that putting that thread there could alienate people who DON'T agree with those viewpoints from actually seeing the links and possibly helping the people who really need our help. I have purposefully avoided posting in that forum because I feel it is inappropriate for this board. I just feel it is sure to create divisions in our happy community, because we are all very different people with very different beliefs. I'm very sorry to see it here, but I can ignore it with ease if necessary. But I have one simple request: If possible, could one of the admins please move the "Hurricane Katrina Relief" thread back to the "In The Interest Of Other Things" forum? Thank you. -- hkdrs |
