 over the last few days, i've noticed when i first log in here, the two little rabbitohs kind of freeze in mid-hop, and i can't access anything
until i click various places on the screen. it also happens each time i enter a new page. it's only a matter of a few seconds, but it's a bit
annoying.  i'm on high-speed dsl, so it's not a slow dial-up connection. 
anyone else having this problem? any suggestions?

becks - have you tried defragging your computer? Go to the start menu, accessories, system tools and click on disk clean-up and then go back and disk
defragmenter.

That's a good suggestion, however if you are using a guest account, you probably won't be able to defrag...but you can still do the "disk
cleanup" gigs mentioned. That may help....it still sounds to me like a connection problem. Let us see if we can find anything more on this subject and
get back to you. If you try the disk cleanup and/or defrag, post whether it helps or not.

i was going to try that. christoph gave me his password when he was here in february, so i've been able to do virus scans, but i haven't defragged.

i cleaned up the disk, and it seems a bit better. turns out that my landlord has his computer set up to defrag automatically every week. i'll let you
know if there's any further change. thanks, eh?
