Re: Questions, problems, complaints | ||

Thanks for letting us know, hkdrs! I wanna yak with d before I do anything, but hang in there, you've a very valid point and d and I will discuss it seriously and come up with a solution, okay?
In the meantime, I'll post the links at the top of the board so peeps can go to those sites without having to go to any thread at all. Can you post the links for me in here you'd like displayed there so I make sure and have the correct ones? Thank you!

I did that, giggles. It wasn't my intention to countermand your intentions. I noticed a lot of Katrina posts on different threads and sought to consolidate them in a single place.
You raise good points. The Politics and Current Events thread has been renamed Current Events. Since the two are so interelated in the Katrina news and many other events, the discussion of politics is inevitable, but I think we're big kids and can do it without insulting each other. I'm a firm believer in the marketplace of ideas so let me know what you think. |

Thanks ladies! One of the things I love about this board is that our admins are VERY VERY responsive!
d, I knew the intentions of whoever made the move were probably good, I just didn't agree with the result *grin*. I really didn't want to make a big deal (I hate doing that), I just thought it would be better to make my feelings known instead of brooding on it! ANYWAY -- I just saw all the links at the top of the board! WOW! You guys ROCK! Is anyone else getting a login dialogue for bb77's website whenever they go a different page or do anything? It took about five minutes to cancel out of a few billion of them before I could even write the text of this post!

Yes, and it's been driving me nuts, I thought it was my computer. It's really only been here but it also happened to me at the Perch just a few minutes ago. Evidently it's happening to the boards that are on that particular server.

I think the problem just got fixed, Gigs. I was getting those pop-up boxes too when I tried to read CC earlier. I gave up when I had to click on a box 14 times before it went away. Then when I went on to the next page, there it was again. More stubborn than the last time. I was wondering if it was somehow connected to the smilies not working.
Coming back now, there are no more login boxes this time. Just saw your post, Cindy. I was thinking that the reason you saw the pop-up box at the Perch was because the particular page you opened had a pic or a smiley that was hosted on the bbmb77 site. That's just a guess, as I'm not sure how these things work.

I'm not sure either, maxi, but it appears to be fixed. It's not doing it now. Thankfully!

Yes, bloody HostOnce, my webserver for the bbmb77.com site, moved me to a server that doesn't go down every five minutes and this was the result. Be nice if they had bothered TELLING me so I could warn everyone, eh?
Thanks for your patience, peeps!!! |

Glad they have you sorted out now, Darrin. If I had to go through the stuff that a website owner does, I wouldn't have any hair left.
