OOOOO, that's totally working for me!! That first pic has given me other problems though.

That first pic has given me other problems though. wanna share? i suspect i may have some similar troubles when i look at pix from that perspective.
I was just being cheeky. heh. Have you renewed Supporter? i have not. was kinda waiting to see if it was something that wasn't going to cost me money... not that i begrudge cc a single penny, but i don't understand why i'm the only one with this problem! |

From what I've read so far, becks, you shouldn't be getting any ads.
Are they pop-ups or a part of the profile pages? Can you do a screen cap for me? They may be coming from your computer. To quote Yuku: "Ads are shown on Thread pages and search results pages. They are not shown on the main page or forum topic list pages. They are not shown on your community profile or calendar pages." JellyD

yes, it's in my profile page. here's what's showing right now. it changes. at the bottom (which isn't showing here), it says, 'ads by
google'.
and i'm getting them on everyone's profile page, not just my own. |

i emailed googleads because apparently they think i've subscribed to their service and they've stuck this ad in my page. i haven't heard back from
them. they don't have an account for me, so when they don't get any payment, perhaps they'll remove the ad. i'm also hoping that when i get
my own computer up and running, the ad will disappear. i hope i'm not going to have to delete my account and start over again!

Ok, duh, if you saw what I just posted, forget it.
If you signed up for Google Adsense, then they are putting an ad in your profile because they think you want it. If you signed up for Adsense, then you can UNsign up for it. Are you sure there is no account for you? You don't have to have google email to have one. Alternatively.....if you are using Firefox, there is a nifty add-on called AdBlock Plus, which keeps ads from showing up on ANY pages that you visit. The ads are still there, but you just don't see them. I realize this won't help the other people who may come to look at your profile and see an ad....but it may keep it from being so frustrating for you if we can't figure out how to fix it. Are you seeing ads in your Facebook profile?

i never subscribed to any kind of ad service. i don't even watch commercial tv! i don't use firefox because it makes my screen look weird. and no,
i'm not getting ads on facebook. i don't think. i'll go check.
is it just me, or is anyone else having this problem? why am i the lucky one? grrrr... |

AdSense is not a service to give you ads for you to view...it's a service for you to host ads, to make money from your page. I was hoping it was something connected with Facebook, then we might be able to figure out how to get rid of them there. I've never heard of anyone else having ads on their profile that didn't want them there. I've looked all through everything I can see from my end, and I can't find any place to sign up or not sign up to AdSense with Yuku. If I were you, I'd go to the Adsense log in page, and, using your current email address, try to log in with a password you might have used, just to see if you can. Sometimes these things get added on to other things you are doing and you don't realize it. I'm wondering if you got a free trial at AdSense with the toolbar.

If the image source is http://images.yuku.com/im...2ad27ed60ba19c26c_t.jpg, then....doesn't that mean it's in your yuku pictures? Then you should be able to delete it. Go to the 'add pictures'
icon in the compose box, choose the avatars album, and look in there to see if it's there...and if it is, then delete it.
Becky, if you're getting ads on every webpage you visit....do you mean all webpages everywhere??? the same ad? If that's the case, then it sounds like you have a trojan. Or do you just mean all webpages here at CC? In the few seconds that you had your own desktop running....did you have a chance to look here at CC, and did you see the ad then?
