Well....I guess I have a small announcement of sorts. I'm not much of a 'nouncer, I intend most of the time to say what new things we have at our
blog, but I realize that you might not read our blog....since we
don't have time to write on it every day.....
ANYWAY The Video link at TRC is live now. tamara and I both have full time jobs and kids, so we won't be adding new video (or anything else) every day; but there might be something from time to time that you haven't seen for a long while (or at all). We won't be trying to get or load every video that comes along, we just don't have the time or the resources to do that; so the selection will be very personal and subjective. I'll be mentioning the new (and old) stuff we have at the blog -- you might think about subscribing to the feed, that way you'll get a notification in your email when there's a new post. So far there's only 5 live sections, but there are more coming. Vintage Russell, the Crowe/Bale Comedy Hour, and Awards footage are just some of the sections coming along in the near future..... You should be able to watch every video without having to save anything; be sure and let us know if you have a problem.

overload ? I spend too much on this dang thing as it is !) but have just figured out (I think !) how to subscribe to your feed.

You know what, Russell is dragging us all into the 21st Century.....  Some of us might not be online at all if not for Russell. Some of us wouldn't
know how to edit photos.....or rip videos.....or write code......or post on message boards.....or blog.....if not for a certain Roman general......
Now that I read again what I wrote in the post above.....I think you can get alerts in your email. I have a feed reader set up on my Google homepage, so I myself don't get them in my email....but I believe I have been told you can set your feed reader up to do that. I hope.

I never touched a computer even tho there was one in the house until I discovered a certain magnificent General. Now I still can't do certain things but I'm learning slowly or just not into other things as there are so many talented ladies out there that do those thing for me. Thanks all you talented people.
I was checking out the videos last night and some of the older ones ran rough for me. The LAC Rosie and the first Leno but I have learned a bit of patience being a Crowe fan  and just kept watching as it slowly kept moving
along. They were great. 
I loved the Alex Baldwin bit. I like Alex and I'm glad he's found his niche in comedy. |

Amen to that Swept, DITTO for me, i never touched the computer in my house, until the General came along, when i was in the business world , i worked on the
computer so long i ended up with Carpo Tunnell Syndrome. but i didn't go for the operation, one of the girls in my office did the operation and she
convinced me it didn't work, i just took tylenol and wore the metal glove . then i retired and opened a day nursery, and i employed some one else to do the
computer. but doggonit the General sure made me see the computer in a different , wonderful way. my computer is now my theraputic work out. and i take care of
it like a new born baby.
and like you Swept, i am learning something new every day from the wonderful talented ladies here. Rusty

Aha! I found out how to get thru the rough stuff. I have to let them completely load up first playing then the second viewing is as smooth as silk.

Great! Glad you got it to work.
When you click on the picture and the video pops out, two things happen at the same time -- the video starts loading into your temp files, and the player starts playing what is in the temp files. If the playing goes faster than the loading, then when the player gets to the end of what has downloaded, it has to stop, till some more is downloaded. That's why it looks jerky. I have this problem on other sites as well, and in my case, I think it might have something to do with the speed of my connection. What I do is pause it after it starts playing, for a little bit, just so the loading can get ahead a bit.....then it plays fine. Also....I tried to leave as much information in the older vids as possible because they were not as good to begin with -- so the file size is bigger, there is more to be downloaded every millisecond....... It could be there's something to put in the code to make it play smoother. I'm still learnin'....
