Well, I was perusing the pics posted by Jelly on Denim Blues because of the AGY thread and found this one, which I think we just need to share... 
It might not be my absolutely favorite Russell movie, but it was certainly beautifully shot! (Thanks to Ridley!)

Um....
As for today, I'd like to harken waaaay back to May 5, 2001 and the first annual Royal House of Russell - Mid-Atlantic Chapter Gladiator viewing party/Russell-a-thon, when I historically mis-typed one of the quotes from the movie which would then become the motto of the RHR-MAC: Strangth and Honour!

Becks it sure is a good thing you put up warning signs before I viewed photo number three. That is gorgeous.
Wow the aqua shirt really brings out the blue green eyes of our treasured man. I felt stunned at first viewing. If I had not been a devote fan that would have done it for me for sure. I also love today's fru. Watch, curled finger placement, I mean curled fingers, hand on heart and Lord give me "Stranght". Why do I think this man is so gorgeous?

just wanted to say how delighted i am at how well-received this thread has been! when i put it up way back in early december, i hoped it might get a few
responses. now, 7+ months, 700+ posts and 20,000+ views later, i'm thrilled that everyone seems to be having such a good time with it. although a few of
my initial 'rules' have long since been left by the wayside, so far no one has put up a pic with anyone other than russell in it. there certainly are
a multitude of threads where we can see dani, the boys, the band, and all the other assorted members of russell's extended 'family'; we've
stayed with my fondest wish, that this thread be
any pic of russell, anywhere, any film, any era. just russell, and only russell.so i just wanted to say thanks. i'm completely bonkers about this man and thoroughly enjoying the ride and the many new friendships i've made. i hope i'll get to meet you - and him! - in person some day. happy russelling! becks the eyes have it...

this was the first film i ever remember seeing with russell in it, probably sometime in the late 90's, but i watched it for the song over the closing
credits (peter gabriel's 'party man'). my recollection is that i thought, 'wow, that's a gorgeous guy!'
did i do anything about it? no.
