Rest in peace, Pernell, you've earned it. You will be fondly remembered!
Just read where Pernell Roberts, of "Bonanza" and "Trapper John, MD" fame passed away from cancer at age 81. I think that was my first movie star crush! Couldn't wait to see Bonanza every week to see what Adam was up to!! He certainly fulfilled the role of first-born big brother, but wasn't above his share of mischief! And that mysterious, secret little smile of his could melt a young girl's heart!!! Later on, I found he also recorded folk music and of course rushed out to purchase his album, "Come All Ye Fair and Tender Ladies"....what a wonderfully rich, mellow, baritone voice......... then the curmodgeonly Trapper John...what a cool role for him in his later years as an actor! Wish I'd seen him in the theatre productions....bet he was super.
