i'm watching 'a raisin in the sun', and hating it and loving it at the same time.  hating it for the horrible racism that was prevalent for so long in my country (this film was done in 1961); loving it for the courage of the characters to dream of better things for themselves and for trying to make those dreams come true, despite the overwhelming odds against them.  poitier is convincing and gorgeous, and it's fascinating to see ruby dee as a young woman.  watch this one if you haven't seen it.
