but not gloating!!
NOOOOOOOOOO would we?
that wouldn't be sportsmanlike AT ALL
maybe it's the roosters that are buddists and they like to make the rest of the league just feel really happy the whole time and let everyone beat them!?

How's this?
Course, we'll only need this once a year..... Nooooooooo, not gloating, not us.

ummmmm, this is probably a stupid question, but why exactly do we all dislike the roosters so much? i'm not much of a sheep
when it come to
following along with the crowd - i need to understand why i'm supposed to dislike something. sorry, that's just the way
i'm programmed, i guess.
becks reckon that makes me a method disliker. i can't arbitrarily be an 'in-the-moment' disliker. i need motivation! i need to feel it! i need to live it! was i a childhood disliker? did something patently unlikeable happen to me when i was in my formative years? did i personally experience unjust unliking when i was 4-3/4 years old? i need to find a way to the inner disliker in me... "are we talkin' about ..... tequila?"

The Rooters and the Rabbitohs are a same city rivalry - both clubs call the Sydney area home. They have a long and contentious history, as illustrated in their
chapter of The Book of Feuds, and generally seem to be the club that Souths' fans love to hate the most.
A very sad end to their season and an example of why Mad Monday needs to go the way of those pokies: Souths investigate claim Fa'alogo king-hit JT

Another version. This one is a punch to the stomach. http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,26039479-5018866,00.html
David Fa'alogo ... may have left the NRL with a bang. Gregg Porteous South Sydney look into alleged attack on coach Jason Taylor by player
NRL club South Sydney have launched an investigation into an altercation in which a player hit coach Jason Taylor to the ground. News Limited reported Rabbitohs forward David Fa'alogo punched Taylor in the face at an inner Sydney hotel on Sunday night. It said the New Zealander, who is leaving the club to join English Superleague outfit Huddersfield, was retaliating after Taylor punched him in the stomach. It was claimed Fa'alogo took the action because he was winded by Taylor's blow and embarrassed in front of his teammates. The players were out drinking following Souths' last match of the season, a win over Cronulla on Saturday night. Witnesses told News Limited Taylor meant no malice in his punch but Fa'alogo did not find the incident funny. Souths players picked up Taylor - who suffered a facial cut from the punch - and put him in a taxi. It was alleged Fa'alogo said to Taylor as he was being taken to the cab, "Don't do it again." "David admits there was an altercation with Jason but he doesn't think he has done anything wrong," Fa'alogo's manager Gavin Orr said. "He will speak to the club tomorrow, as will I. "I think they will look at some CCTV footage from the place where it happened. I don't know whether there was a punch thrown, but David doesn't reckon there was much in it. "If the Rabbitohs think he has a case to answer, we will go in and talk to them." South Sydney chief executive Shane Richardson said, "We will look into it over the next 24 hours. "The first I heard about it was when you told me this afternoon so we will take it from here. "I haven't got all the details. "But from what I understand there wasn't a brawl or a fight in the pub. "I will find out more in the morning. It was nothing major although everything seems major in rugby league these days. "There was some mucking around." Fa'alogo was sent home for hitting a man at a cab rank during Souths trip to Jacksonville, Florida, two years ago. He king hit Roosters playmaker Braith Anasta during a match in 2007 and was suspended for seven weeks. AAP ![]() |

i've been wondering what to say about this over the past couple days, really can't come up with anything
this whole sorry saga is just so heartbreaking, disappointing and so avoidable, for the sake of a little common sense nothing to say, i'm just let down http://www.smh.com.au/news/lhqnews/taylor-to-face-a-chop-of-his-own/2009/09/10/1252519592233.html Glory Glory? |

Good grief. On the one hand, I'm a bit surprised....on the other hand, not completely.
He should certainly know better than to get drunk with the team. And he's old enough to know if he's an obnoxious drunk....in which case he certainly shoulda stayed home. Certainly, Glory, Glory! You can still be behind the team even if the coach turns out to be more of a wanker than previously thought. I wonder what
kind of a response he can make that would keep his job for him?
It sounds like everybody and their cousin wants to coach the Bunnies now. It would be fun if the fellow from NZ got the job.

Rabbitohs Statement Regarding Jason Taylor and David Fa'alogo10 Sep 2009
The Board of the South Sydney Rabbitohs has announced today that the Club has concluded its investigation into the well-publicised events at the Forresters Hotel on Sunday, 6 September 2009.
The result of that investigation is that Head Coach Jason Taylor has been served today with formal notification of breaches of his contract with the Club and has been given until 5pm Tuesday, 15 September 2009 by which to respond to that notification.
Additionally, player David Fa'alogo has been served today with a breach notice under his NRL playing contract requiring him to appear before the Board on Friday, 18 September to show cause as to why action should not be taken against him by the Club for breaches of his NRL playing contract and the Club's Code of Conduct.
The Club has informed the NRL of the outcome of its investigation and will continue to keep it informed as
the disciplinary process against both individuals progresses.

I think David and Jason should be apoligizing to the sponsers, fans and team mates......not Russell.
Must have been a hard thing to do but good on ya Russell. from Murphs.

I suppose Russell is taking responsibility because that's what he does and who he is. He's the cruise director for the cast and crew, the first
lieutenant for his directors, the patriarchal figure in his family and the Big Bunny for Souths. As much empathy as Russell may feel for JT I'm sure he
wouldn't want to deprive JT of this necessary if painful opportunity for growth. If he truly believes that he's led by example then he's got
nothing to feel guilty about.
I work hard on trying to let people know that I am better than the worst of me, it's the only thing I can do.*tsk* You make my heart glow. I hear some wonderful potential song lyrics in that letter.
