I've always been a cat person, though I would like a dog, just don't have time for one right now. I swore I'd never get another cat after I had to put my last one to sleep, his name was Zappa. He had a mustache just like Frank Zappa, hence the name
 . But alas a few years went by, and I took my dad to go get him a cat, and ended up taking home the brother and sister. We finally have a beautiful spring like day here!
 Max & I just came back from a nice, long outing. First we spent time in the dog park playing with the other dogs out on a day like today, and then we went for a nice long walk with Max's friend Darwin (& Darwin's owner, Indira!) I took this pic in the dog park and just had to share it, as I think it's one of the best ones I've taken. I just love it! and this is Darwin  |

Animals have the strangest habits. I've met a cat with a craving for plastic bags and my cat Khaska loved the slick paper that peels away from adhesives like on envelopes, stamps and such. The only time he bothered the trash was when he knew that slick paper strips were inside. He would just chew away at them like they were some kitty treat. One time he found where I hid the stamps and chewed up an whole book!
Khashka was a smart one. He also learned how to jump on the kitchen counter then up onto the refrigerator where he could then open the cupboard and pull out the covered bowl of catnip. That bowl had so many teeth marks in it that we could actually just sift out the catnip! Sometimes he'd even drag it into the living room, drop it at our feet and cry for us to open it for him! Max and Darwin are adorable!!
I had a cat, a grey siamese looking cat.. His name was Grimmy, he looked like a gremlin (movie) when he was born.. He used to chew on pictures. If he caught hold of one he'd chew the whole thing up.. of course that was before digital cameras, I still have a quite a few photos in a box some where, with his chew bites all over them lol... crazy cat...
