I took my camera to work yesterday and photographed the flowers and greenery around my office building and then near my home. I have a thing for natural things rendered in an abstract way so some of these reflect that

On the way home, I was on the bus and suddenly saw this amazing shadow cast by a tree. I wanted to get off to get a better picture but I was afraid the bus would leave! LOL So I took this from the bus. I'm sure the person behind me must have rolled their eyes and thought "Tourists!"

Your shots of flowers inspired me, Kaspi...so early this morning as I traisped downstairs to do a couple of loads of laundry before my neighbor with two small children monopolized the washers for the day, I took a couple pics of the roses that grow beneath my stairwell...
  I'm going to have to experiment more with night shots...these came out rather cool...if I do say so myself... |

Oooohhhhh, those are all gorgeous! And a great way to start of the new thread! kaspi, I love the fleurs and the shadows and the fact that you can take a pic of all three of those faces watching out for you! And Jess, the "night shots" are really fascinating, kind of the like the rose is just floating in space. Cool!
I took a picture of the sunrise this morning because it was so gorgeous. I'll post it once I upload it from the camera, but meanwhile I have to go work out so I can then go eat massive amounts of food at the Cheesecake Factory with Snuggie withOUT too much guilt.. What fantastic pictures Kaspi and Jess - the colours of the flowers are just beautiful
Gigs - easy on the cheesecake  We are off to Cornwall for a couple of weeks next Wednesday so I should be able to get some 'seascape' pics  |

We're going to Sea World for a couple of hours (it's only 15 minutes away and we have annual passes)...I'll try to bring back some good pictures...I want to see if I can get some good shots of the aquariums....(the penguin enclosure is closed today...wonder how the manatees are doing??)

WOW!!!!!! I was coming here to post a couple of things in this thread tonight and I am just TOTALLY BLOWN away by the beautiful pictures.
This is not what I was planning on posting tonight, but Kaspi & Jess, your pictures inspired me to dig these out. These are actually a couple of years old and were taken during a visit to Wave Hill, a small botanical garden about 11 blocks from where I live Wave Hill. Quote: I hope you like them....      |
